Nordic

The Snow Stars Nordic program provides disadvantaged elementary school girls with the opportunity to learn to cross-country ski through participation in the local Bill Koch League program.

Every Saturday over the winter, the girls get lessons and play games on cross-country skis with other girls and boys from the community.

They also have the option to race later in the season. The girls are given equipment and clothing and take part all season in Bill Koch activities. Women members of the local Middlebury College Nordic Ski Team mentor the girls once a week as well.

Alpine

The Snow Stars Alpine program provides disadvantaged elementary school girls with the opportunity to learn to Alpine ski.

The girls are enrolled in a six-week lesson program and each is assigned a "Mountain Buddy" female mentor to ski with them before or after lessons.
